Welcome to AFSN!

AFSN depends on community resources to support its programs and services. We welcome those interested in providing volunteer resources as well as those able to support AFSN with financial contributions, and donations of goods and services. Here are some ways you can help:

Volunteer Your Time and Talents

Contact Betsy Boggs, Executive Director at the AFSN office, 616-458-7945, bboggs@afsn.org and let her know how you can help.

Sign up to be an Adoptive Parent Mentor.  Ever wish when you first adopted your child that you could have talked to someone who had “been there, done that?”  Well now that you have, why not be there for a new parent?  We continually receive calls from new adoptive parents wanting to be linked to mentors.  All it takes is a little bit of time to chat over coffee or via e-mail or phone.  Contact Brooke Van Prooyen, Program Coordinator at the AFSN office, 616-458-7945 or via e-mail at brooke@afsn.org and let her know you are willing to help.

Contribute by Making a Cash Donation

AFSN relies on financial contributions from individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and government entities to support its programs and services. Each contribution helps us provide needed services to adoptive families in our community.  Complete the attached form and return to AFSN or pay with a credit card using PayPal’s secure payment processing. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution . . .  you’ll be glad you did!.

Additional donations are accepted with a credit card by using PayPal’s secure payment processing or by mailing your contribution directly to the AFSN office:  233 E. Fulton Ste.# 108, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503.

Contribute by Asking for a Corporate Matching Gift

Have you ever thought about asking your company to match your gift to Adoptive Family Support Network? Corporations will often match gifts made by employees, officers, directors, and in some cases spouses and/or retired employees, officers, or directors. Consult your company’s personnel or community relations department for guidelines.  It’s a great way to increase your contribution to AFSN

Contribute By Subscribing.

Adoptive Families Magazine and AFSN offer a special opportunity to subscribe to the nation’s leading magazine for adoptive families and assist AFSN at the same time. For each paid subscription to Adoptive Families Magazine a $5 contribution will be made to AFSN. For more information contact AFSN or go to Adoptive Families Magazine website. When subscribing please enter the code “Adoptive Family Support Network offer – ”Q09143″ in the “Special Code” box to assure that AFSN will receive a donation as a result of your subscription.
